Must say... if you got on the commercial free offering on foxsports go, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Really loved the commercial breaks on the network where you’d just hear the cars, no commentary, and even once heard them setting up the call with mario andretti.
Except Porsche didn’t move the engine up for handling purposes, they did it so they could put the huge diffuser there. When they allowed these huge diffusers on the cars, Porsche was at a big disadvantage since it was impossible to put a diffuser under the engine...
ummm if the electrical system fails in a Tesla you will have a lot more problems than just not seeing the speedometer... :P
At least for this race the Ferrari was every bit the equal if not a little better than the Mercedes... If this trend continues, it could turn out to be a great season, especially when they hit circuits that you can actually pass on... One thing about the wider cars... It’s also going to make the tight circuits even…
I like it... Among all the black, silver and red cars, you will instantly know who the Force Indias are...
I’m pretty sure it will be branded as an Alpine... There isn’t a Renault badge on the car that I can see... Then they can sell them at Nissan dealers and not mess with them further... Isn’t that how Chevy does the Corvette in Europe (outside of the UK)?
and i have yet to see a renault badge anywhere on this car...
Ummm you could just give it an Alpine badge and sell it at Nissan Dealers as an “Alpine”... You know, kind of like we sell the corvette in Europe... You’ll be very hard pressed to find a chevy bowtie anywhere on the vette
As a huge fan of the original A110 and someone who has friends in mexico trying to find him a Dinalpin, it’s spectacularly beautiful... Too bad the only way us Americans will ever see one unless we travel abroad...
obviously a Trump voter, only saw the parts he wanted to see and made ignorant comments directed at the press...
Yeah, the paint scheme on that car just seems to make all the curves get lost into a huge blocky mess... I hate shark fins to begin with, but choose the wrong paint and the car starts to take on the side profile of a minivan...
I’ll go on record as saying I hate “shark fins” on the aesthetic of pretty much any car, but they do a far better job of de-emphasizing it with the paint than Williams does...
The color thing... Every car on the street these days seems to be black, white or silver, so why not make formula one monochromatic too! No need for HDR or even color on your new TV set. :P
My guess is if found out, the leaker won’t be on McLaren’s VIP list and I wouldn’t be surprised if other manufacturer’s blacklist him too... When brought into any secret society, rule one is you have to be trusted to keep secrets...
Kind of an asshole maneuver to allow those pics out... Guessing if they find out who took it, he will have sudden issues getting future McLarens...
*Ducks from the purists* This would be awesome to do with maybe a very limited street gt3rs model... *Crawls under desk*
I see a lot of complaints about the wild colors in the comments, and I couldn’t be more different on this. Thank you McLaren for bringing color to an increasingly monochromatic world. The trend that bother’s me more than anything is that most cars are only available in black, white, silver and grey... People have…
And the crash test results might keep him driving slower :P
