Not sure I buy the stuck throttle excuse. I’d wager they put it in the wrong gear and when it went backwards instead of forwards they panicked and hit the gas instead of the brake.
Obviously no arguing with the man. He’s right, and he acknowledges the problem right there too. It is absolutely one of those things where it’s super easy to want and acknowledge, but way harder in the execution within the triple-A game space. You’re kind of flying by the seat of your pants most of the time, and…
Don’t.
You are exactly right, and this article is mostly reductive correlation. Common factors in folks who favor support roles in games are that they enjoy the social aspect more than the competitive play, and they enjoy helping the group achieve goals over individual glory (putting others first, empathy). So far, studies…
Always thought it was a matter of empathy and companionship. There are a lot of gamers in my family and friends and those with higher empathy or that suffered the most often gravitate toward those roles.
I kinda assumed a lot of LGBTQIA+ folks develop a high level of empathy and teamwork due to their hardships, too

Haters gotta hate, if they aren’t given hate tools they will redefine positive emotes.
For some reason a couple years ago the more toxic people within the gaming community started an anti-positive campaign putting forth the idea that being positive is ackshually 100% more toxic than insulting your compatriots. And it’s been gaining traction ever since.
Well I guess I’m toxic because I use it as a “good game” emote when the game is good.

There’s a Skate boarding sim called...Skate, and probably the most memorable feature, was the mortal kombat style broken bones where it showed you what you broke and how many bones you broke. Me and my friend spent hours just trying to break the most bones. At the end of the day it’s still a…
Because some of us enjoy all parts of the game including some payback to AI that cuts us off it is a game after all and for fun.
About a decade or so ago (shortly after PS4 and Xbox One launched) I was a Gamestop employee. My first full non training day actually. I was told to go out and clean the window and door just before closing. As I was out there a guy ran up towards me with a gun and put it to my back and walked me inside the store. Kept…
