For a beater? Yeah, this wins. Nothing else out there that will take a beating like this. Just as long as the engine rebuild was done right, this one could last decades more, if you keep the rust away.

That's a beautiful little car. I've always had such a soft spot for old Celicas. If that wasn't across the country, I would seriously be considering putting in a bid... I wouldn't consider that a beater, though, myself. It's not flawless but it's close enough to be worth actually taking care of!

Never had a problem with it either. It’s just huge, and that intimidates and confuses people. I’m sure it has its issues...like anything of that size...but I’ve really never had any memorably bad experience there.
