Some Bernie supporters are vitriolic on the Internet, they call and harass super delegates at all hours of the day, have thrown chairs at the NV DNC, and have left death threats against a woman and her children/grandchildren for being a member of the ‘establishment.’ This is obviously a small slice of Bernie

But it’s clearly NOT obvious to some of his supporters, and he has a responsibility to call them on their bullshit. You can’t “I’m sorry, but...” when a woman is getting death threats.

I have one of these people in my life—and its my aunt, who I’ve been *very* close to my whole life. It’s really upsetting to watch people you love (or even just kind of like) go off the deep end!

Except for some of the issues I really care about—like gun safety and reproductive rights and child care access—she's to the left of Bernie on those issues.

Most of those things help women and brown people, so I don't think that counts for these people.

You win for best ever kinja name.

Was thinking that same thing.

ohmyGOSH Mom Media, You don’t even know anything about me!

Because she’s openly said she think Trump would be better for America than Clinton. Because ‘revolution.’

This perfectly captures why I can’t get excited about her ( even though I want to). My theory is just that she’s a private person who is protective of her emotions. This makes for an emotionally healthy person, but not the most exciting artist.

The right supports the ‘sanctity of marriage’ and talks about the importance of kids growing up with ‘one mother and one father’ etc etc, but then shit on HRC for staying

I start to feel that way, but then I remember that Trump really isn’t an accident. The GOP has courting racist and sexist votes for ages and ages; RP’s strategy fell right in line with that bs. Trump is really just the collective Id of the very movement RP has been strategically leading, you know?

Except in the world of politics, candidates actually *do* need money and support from PACs, those run by white dudes or otherwise.

So glad MSNBC ousted Melissa Harris Perry, but kept this blowhard around.

I will now replace Justice We-all-forget-about with Justice Ice Cream. It's a nicer nickname, and makes me want delicious treats.

Well, generally speaking Beyonce sings about her own life a lot—sampling things from her childhood, singing about her marriage, motherhood, her career, her daughter’s hair.

My love for Bey might be clouding my judgement, but I think she’s media savvy, but also honest. Especially lately. So my read is that he probably has cheated on her a bunch, but she’s wresting control of that narrative —and making lemonade from.

Pretty sure enemy #1 is the Cruz/Trump assholes, not a socialist from VT. but, sure, continue thinking everything is a conspiracy theory.

There are so many gross things about this, but I’ll just pick two:

Agreed. Being VP seems especially useful for giving an exciting, under-experienced young face a national profile, to set the stage for their own future presidential run (which is why Castro, for example, make a lot of sense to me). With Warren in her mid-70s in 2024, and generally seeming disinterested in being
