YES! I thought everyone thought he was weirdly hot, I thought it was "a thing", until I made a joke about it and just got bewildered looks from my friends and now I get flack from my friends for thinking he's a babe. Whatever, he is easily on my top 5.
YAY! I feel awesome knowing that I'm not alone. I love that you have helped bring us together.
Amen!
Airheads yes!!
I think he's adorable!
It's like how some people think in Saudi Arabia. Men there say that women have to cover themselves because otherwise, they cannot control themselves. They say: "If you show me your legs I will get horny and rape you".
It's thinking the wrong way around, saying that women should have to take action (put on clothes) to…
I can't really agree with the "If you dress slutty you're in for it"-way of thinking. Being sexy is not AT ALL the same as being objectified. You can still treat sexy people with respect, can't you?
I don't have any beef with judging based on clothing, just because that's a totally pointless exercise. Nothing's going to stop it, and, as with business attire, it's not useless. But people dressed up as their favorite characters at a convention shouldn't invite shit treatment, and no matter how someone's dressed,…
You shouldn’t assume that she wants sexual attention either verbally or physically. You know why you should know that? Because many women have explicitly said that do not want such attention. There. Done. No guesswork needed about what she intended when she put on a sultry costume. But, let’s take some time to go…
People do not need to conform to others' arbitrary standard of modesty or whatever the fuck just to earn a basic amount of respect. Not everything a woman does is to please you. Her clothes probably have nothing to do with you, and you shouldn't take them as some kind of invitation.
You know, we're not a monolithic hivemind of a gender. Those are probably two different groups of women you're talking about.
He also referred to the Sistine Chapel as the "Sixteenth Chapel" on Letterman last year, so uneducated and ignorant is just part of his brand. It helps show how swaggy he is.
THANK YOU. I am 25 and go to uni with 18 and 19 year olds who constantly act like children. They ARE old enough to know better. I'm sick of people telling me to cut them slack because they're so young. I had four jobs and rented my own flat at 18.
I think I was coming at this from the perspective of having recently re-read the Diary, and having that Anne Frank was a real girl thing fresh in my mind. I doubt Beibs was making his comment with any sort of informed perspective (maybe he's read the book, what do I know?)
Truly I think his comment makes him come off…
He's 19 though. I was that age not too long ago and I would've seen the stupid in that comment of his.
This is perfect. Even if his intent wasn't malicious, it was still very poorly executed and incredibly insensitive. It's problematic that he couldn't see that. He is young, but he is an adult and a public figure. Whatever the intent, his words were his own and deserve criticism.
"The people who write Anne Frank incest fan fiction should feel bad."
What the fuck kind of person writes Anne Frank INCEST FAN FIC? And what kind of person so casually comes across it? Gross.
