To the last statement: They already are.

I'm finding it hard to get to upset about this. Nothings seems to "secret" or "back-door". Is it a shitty deal? Yes. If I was a developer, I would want no part of it. But they made a choice to do their "experiment". And every other developer who has agreed to this promotion has done the same.

I'd love to have one of these. For whatever reason, I cannot seem to keep regular ear buds in my ear while running. The cord always gets in the way and I end up getting frustrated. How do people do it?! I've even tried running the cord up my shirt, but that just gets uncomfortable.

"Spotify also focuses too heavily on the idea that listeners only care about songs and not albums."

I was somewhat excited about this up until the wired part. It's pretty ridiculous for them to think people are going to want this. As soon as they make a bluetooth version, they might have some success.

Yikes, I wish I could be that flippant about $400...

Very, very nice. I have a feeling it looks even better on the phone.

Exactly what I was thinking. I cringed when I read that sentence.

Obscure, but great tip. Chamois isn't exactly cheap, so this is good to know.

I think it's funny and harmless. And this post is ridiculous.

Ha, thanks. I kind of skip over the videos because I'm usually at work.

I'm curious to know if OS X supports USB 3.0. I know Apple doesn't make any hardware with 3.0, but maybe the Hackintosh folks have gotten it to work.

The slowness of updating is a major annoyance. But I still think stock Android is atrocious. And HTC Sense is the best phone UI I've ever used.

I'm not trying to be combative or a smart-ass. But, it's such a minuscule disturbance that doesn't warrant an insult to the developers.

Is it really, really that big of a deal? Ignore them.

If it's the hops that contain the polyphenols, it's unlikely that they would have selected a German wheat beer. A pilsner would have more hop content.

I've always been a fan of Roger Ebert's writing, but sometimes he comes off as a self-important jerk.

That's a pretty outrageous statement. He is one of the most influential CEOs of all-time. Not only did he co-found Apple, he almost single-handedly resurrected Apple when he came back. Has he had some failures? Absolutely. But no one gets to where he's gotten without taking risks, and yes, failing.
