@Lobstersurprise: OMG humming the snake charmer song! That's outrageously hilarious!

@BiBiVirtue: As a white person, I have no fucking idea. But some white people seem to LOVE trying to have a "philosophical discussion" about the n-word, as if they're addressing new ideas that nobody has ever thought of before. Sign of low intelligence combined with bigotry, I think.

My favorite part:

@clevernamehere: Did you know there's actually a curriculum called "Handwriting without Tears"?? I mean, I know everyone doesn't love learning to write in cursive, but is it so bad that it's causing kids to cry??? Seems a little melodramatic...

"women tend to have more nerve connections between the two sides of the brain, which also helps with precision"

@clairedeloony: I have long believed that dried beans are a godsend for people trying to cook healthy on a budget. If you have a crock pot, they're really convenient. And some beans, like lentils, cook up really quick. When I make hummus from scratch, I soak the beans overnight so I only have to boil for 45 min or so,

Ah, Republicans. The party of family values. The party who decries the "coarsening of our culture". Who blames Latinos and gays for "eroding cultural values".

@dammit.rachel: I mean, the fact is, most kids probably waver between "boy" and "girl" activities a lot, and it's ok to just let them go with the flow. When I was a kid I played T-Ball and liked to ride my bike through muddy ditches with my friend Jay. I also took ballet lessons, collected Lisa Frank stickers and had

@SpicyCheeto: Hopefully you'd also be enthused if your little girl wants to wear lots of pink! Not saying you're doing this, but I think sometimes people on this site think it's ok for boys to like dolls, or girls to like boy toys. But somehow a girl who wants to dress up like a princess is like, internalizing gender

It bothers me that there aren't unisex clothes for kids, but as someone pointed out downthread, unisex typically skews more boyish than a true medium between boy and girl clothes. People are more likely to think a girl in a Bob the Builder shirt is a "tomboy" or just "not a girly girl", whereas a boy in a Strawberry

@greeneyedfem: Totally. I even find that when, for example, I do a road race, the giveaway T-Shirt always says "Unisex" on it. Well, it's not actually a unisex size - it's a men's size that women are supposed to fit in too. It's not actually some "medium" range of sizes.

"Interviewing people like Antoine reflects poorly on our community."

@Hannapdx: What color/brand did you get? I got OPI for Sephora 'Under my trench coat' a few months ago and didn't like it - it made me look dead. It seems like it'd be hard to find just the right shade!

@burnmybiscuits: Nice! How's the quality of the polish?? Does it go on nicely and last a decent amount of time?

@definitelynotjessica: Well, what is it?? I can always use a new color, and this looks like it'd be perfect for early fall!

Eh, I don't mind this at all, really. In fact, I love those skinny crispy pretzel chips, so it actually makes the product look pretty appealing to me.

@Uhuh. wants Miz.J back: I know, right? WTF. The concept of "hating calories" is kind of like hating air or something. How idiotic.

@vamusical: HAHA. Pretty swell. Wow, what a romantic!

I'm glad to see that issues like availability of pediatricians and the quality of the school system are only concerns for working moms. Not, you know, dads, or parents in general. It's so disappointing to continually see childcare addressed solely as a woman's concern.
