The guy went through a hard divorce after losing his daughter. Being stood up like that would be a huge emotional blow for him. Especially after how excited he was about it. Look at that new shirt! That’s not a shirt you get for just any ole dinner. That’s an 80's “Hey, babe. How you doin’?” shirt.

Yeah I respectfully disagree with this completely. I found Hopper’s behavior to be a new father who would have struggled with a teenage daughter (as many do IRL) in even the best of circumstances, and their circumstances are hardly ideal.

You ok?

This sizzling hot take brought to you by someone who’s never had a smug little teenage shit disrespect him in his own home. I’ve banned one of my son’s friends from my house for a year for lying to my face about washing his hands after he used the bathroom (I can hear the bathroom sink from the kitchen you little

If you’re reading this, you need to stop, tell your mom to chill and/or bring you a Pepsi, and go watch Rip Torn as the baddy in 1982's “Beastmaster.”

You mean the only “human being” left, sir.

Does this mean that Cracked outlived Mad? What kind of world is this.

I discovered Mad Magazine when I was 10 years old in 1972. Because my parents thought Mad was a bad influence and didn’t want me reading it, I’d have to sneak down to the grocery store to buy an issue each month for 35¢ (CHEAP).

Even friends who claim never to have seen an episode of Laugh-In or know who Arte Johnson was say “veeeddy eeeenteresting”.  It’s seeped into the collective consciousness.

I still say “Very In-deresding......” like Johnson. Especially if there is a big fern to emerge from. Rest well, sir.

That is great news! Love this show so much, and been waiting for the other shoe to drop to be honest. Having a show cancelled is one thing, but to have it renewed for two seasons then not be made would be so much worse.

Lots of HBO series slots are opening up these days.I just hope HBO finds good shit to fill them.

Also source of one of the more important memes, these days.

Meanwhile Kinja will continue its inscrutible cross-site policy of rewarding obvious trolls while making decent people who want to contribute stay grey indefinitely.

Natasia Demetriou’s utter contempt for the name “Jeff” is so hilarious that if What We Do in the Shadows had the audience it deserved, it would kill off the name for at least a generation.

I love how Colbert was open about doing all that...wearing the glasses, the hat and strutting his stuff. I wish more straight men would be open to having fun like that. Just cuz ya do that doesn’t mean you’re now gay or you lose a bit of you masculinity, it just means you are having fun. And for the most part that’s

Even though I don’t get to see his show from this side of the Atlantic (well legally at least), Stephen Colbert seems like a brilliant late night talk show host.

Hermione Baddley was only in 1959's Room at the Top for a little over two minutes and won Best Supporting Actress. I think both Ned Beatty and Beatrice Straight won for Network, even though they were only featured for a combined ten minutes.

Syfy is second only to Fox in picking up quirky, interesting, unique shows that are fun to watch and then rapidly canceling them when they don’t get “Do You Think You Can Dance” ratings.

Syfy, as always, quickly cancelling anything watchable that was somehow on Syfy.
