Fine, darker. I didn't actually play much of the other ones, but I thought they were somewhat more cartoonish. There is more to this spectrum than "sunshine, lollipops and rainbows" and "any violence at all."

Surprising, but yes.

From what I remember, Twisted Metal: Black was one of those rare examples of a dark, gritty reboot that worked. Is this enough to be worth having faith in a movie adaptation? No, it is not.
