"Rowan that is a lot of condescension from some loser who had to go to a community college."

"It sounds like it is written by a 12 year old."

Some possible cases:

To be fair, I have vaguely meant to go back to the series, largely for such reasons; I know there are a hell of lot more books to it, some of the authors are better than others, and I really did like the premise and some of the stories in the early books.

The intro in the first book has Martin protesting that "No! No, it's not a writeup of our tabletop gaming sessions! Honestly!"

Everybody posts with their fingers crossed?

It would be a fun hack-n-slash time waster if it wasn't one of the worst examples of naked micro-transaction greed ever. Long story short, absolutely everything you do requires energy, and eventually it requires it in such large amounts that the paltry daily allowance is useless and you need to buy more with real

That's an undeniable and lamentable fact, and equally true of almost all games. Except Condemned 2.

I finally started it recently, and am almost finished with season 2. I heard it gets better in 3; so far, I like Walt, but pretty much every other character seems to be some degree of badly written or unconvincingly acted or both. I'll stick with it for all the praise it gets.

But…but…piggy nibbling! PIGGY NIBBLING!

I'm completely on the fence about Glitch. My MMO-skeptic side very much dislikes that, while there's a lot to "do," almost all of that "doing" consists of crafting in menus or "social gaming" nonsense that is meaningless if you're in it solo- EDIT: not that I've seen the whole game, so there could be a lot more to

At least, with O'Connor, a lot of the time, the horrible grotesque tragedy happens to horrible grotesque people who have it coming.

I like to think I provide a service.

"Is not working for McDonalds Mcfullfilling? Sir?"

Sure, but that was when we were children, and had more resilience and capacity for joy. Now that we've grown into craven, bereft, and spiritually broken adults, we play games to distract us from the fruitless struggles and crushing disappointments of our lives, not to contribute to them. This is also why we comfort

That is the only collective term I've ever heard living in New Mexico most of my life. We're more interested in the plurality of our corners than of our states.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll try anything (that's free), and that looks like it might be worth playing. They must employ actual non-automated humans to sign you up, though, since that initial email is taking hours.

Damn right. Judging only by the screenshot, plus the the overt references to medieval weaponry, magic, level-grinding, and world exploration, I naturally assumed it was a retro space opera puzzle shmup.

No, I haven't played it. However, I'm allowed to make a lame joke based on the title and my screen name even without having played it.

I think I got to the second section in all but one of the regions, where I got to the third. I did like the design of the environments and enemies, and wanted to see more, so I'll probably pick it back up in a few months when I've recovered emotionally.
