When I tell people that I love Beyonce’s music I usually get an “I can think of artists way better” or “She’s not the best out” or “She’s overrated”. Like I’m literally just answering their question about my taste in music and now I have to defend my life choices bc someone needs to feel smarter than me. It’s so

If you have never been to an HBCU homecoming, it was even more amazing if you were aware of them.

Another day, another pile of bullshit from a white woman...

Slap pregnant troop in face - Fine.
Kneel during a song - Destroying America.

It’s almost like there’s some sort of connection here... about a certain type of person... who doesn’t respect another, different type of person... But, I can’t figure it out.

Possibly that she assaults her husband as well?

“I’m pregnant! Look at me, I’m pregnant! You’re pushing a pregnant lady!” Sharpe says in the video.

So, this is proof positive of how much bullshit “Support the Troops” is. These women are in uniform and it didn’t mean a goddamn thing to this unhinged banshee, because it’s not really about “supporting the troops,” it’s a weaponized saying used to intimidate people you see as outside the tribe.

It is just like a mother to worry like this. lol Ms. Tina is adorable.

I am continually shocked by how much people under 30 don’t know, and specifically about the contributions Black people have made to music. My Asian coworker is 26 or 27 and had no idea that rock was invented by Black people. There has been a concerted effort in the past several years to portray hip-hop as something

Earlier today, #5 was the last sentence of #3 re-written slightly. I briefly thought it might have been a joke about being such a control freak that it was in there twice but since it’s been changed, I guess it was just an error by the author.

K, tell yourself whatever you need to, but you’re a walking talking example of what this article is talking about and I find it beyond hilarious that you’re too dumb to see what you’re doing here. Bless your little heart.

You mean the three articles about Mandela that they posted? People commented on them, I don’t know if you did, but other people did.

lol it’s like you lack any awareness of media outlets outside of this one right here. Come on, you can’t possibly be that ignorant.

I cut for Beyonce for exactly the same reason. I’m not a fan of her music (don’t dislike it, just not my jam) but to see her rise above all the petty bullshit that typically overtakes WOC as visible as her is admirable and .... just gives me joy.

Did it ever occur to you that the Beyhive reacts that way because the rest of the world is so fucking eager to diminish her and everything she does?

People that hate on Bey are doing it because they believe that being contrarian like that makes them interesting...it does not.

I got a chance to see the full Coachella show and Beyonce did her thing. Beforehand I saw comments on how she was stiff, hadn’t lost all her baby weight and she was doing the same thing over and over again. I saw an awesome performance...point blank period.

I was really lukewarm to her—loved her singles but wouldn’t call myself a “fan” and was turned off by the immense and constant hype—until I watched a YouTube video of her performance at Glastonbury Festival. I watched it maybe four years ago and I stayed up for hours watching YouTube videos of her and was totally

Now playing

I have to give ol girl credit for overcoming some major shade early in her career. Lest we forget, Bey has not always been beloved, muva, Queen etc. She was vilified in the media for all the Destiny’s Child personnel turnover that went on

We know why they don’t like her but loooooove Adele. Why she can’t be a feminist but Swift can. She can’t wear sexy clothes but Madonna can. She can’t have control over her image but Swift and other white artist can.
