I think people are too focused on the existence of rape in the show rather than how it is portrayed. The producers shouldn't listen to the Internet because it is full of entitled pricks who think a story should be told their way.

Thats not a problem at all. They're creative artists. They're making this show to their own vision and the vision of their collaborators.

I dont't know if they are talking about Jamie, or Crasters keep. What I do know is if both situations still happen in horrible parts of the world today (BBC loves to tell us!) then boo hoo for people thinking its cringeworthy in a show known for going to some dark but very real places.

Oh man, you've gone and done it.

Rape is HEAVILY present in the books. Sometimes it is vaguely alluded to, sometimes it is direct an detailed. That is just part of the world the characters live in. I recognize female power and all that, but you can't be mad that the tv series is following the book *or even the setting* faithfully.

Honestly, I'm getting tired of this growing attitude where fans think the story should be told the way they want it to be told. I've been getting sick of this attitude since Mass Effect 3. That's not how stories work. Someone writes it, someone else experiences it. The reader/viewer doesn't have to like it, but they

It's their show, they are not beholden to anybody but those who actually work on the show. I don't like a lot of what has happened on the show, but I don't start writing articles about how I'm entitled to my say in the creative direction of the show along with every other person on the internet.

Are people still on the rape (it wasn't, she consented the whole way) thing ? Seriously the world seems to be getting more touchy and emotional by the day.

Always a classic.

Intent is not objective unless the person outright defines their own intent.

According to the video, the kid asked who was there and received no answer. If he knew it was the cops maybe he would have put down the Wii Remote before answering the door.

And even IF this kid answered the door with a realistic gun - hell, even a REAL gun - it's perfectly within your rights to do so. There was a case in Texas recently where a man shot and killed a police officer for entering his home to serve a warrant. The officer entered the home unannounced and was shot and killed

Not sure the cops tears really outweigh the tears of the parent in the situation.

You'd think they'd have to answer if you asked "who is it". I mean if their reflex is to shoot dead anyone answering the door with anything slightly resembling a gun, god help anyone who does answer the door with a gun because the person refuses to announce themselves and they are worried about burglary/home invasion.

Here's the thing. I can kinda see the "I thought he had a gun" excuse holding water if the cop's gun is already drawn and aimed because it's an instant defensive reaction (pulling a trigger). But if the cop was just serving a warrant and waiting for someone to answer the door, his gun would be holstered and wouldn't

Made me remember this:

Resident Evil 4: Remember When Resident Evil Was Good - Edition

I don't know what to say to you anymore. I am taking the issue seriously, that's precisely WHY I'm asking questions. This is a serious matter and I want all the fucking facts. Please explain how that makes me a sexist ogre who's biased against women? Without the fucking bullshit.

Me right now:

Because the artist can draw whatever the hell he wants?
