I would like to remind everyone that this is not censorship and that Playtonic as a private business has the right to express itself as they see fit. If they do not wish to include voice work by a controversial figure in their video game that is well within their right. Jon’s free speech was not violated in any way

Steam somehow thinks it should be a gaming community, not just a place where games are being distributed. Valve wants Steam to be like Neogaf but for Steam-only users.

Steam curators is pretty much the most insignificant thing. I always scroll past it and barely notice it.

I appreciate a few curators like Jim Sterling and Waifu watch, but yeah those are the only two I care about

The opposite. It looks like they’re really beefing that up. Which...yeah.

Honestly no console including the Neo and Scorpio are going to do native 4K on AAA titles. They well all use a combination of upscaling and similar rendering techniques. A top of the line $600 GTX 1080 video card can’t even do 4K reliably on newer AAA titles, theres no way a $400 console is going to be able to.

I’m REALLY worried about lazy devs making the games work well for Pro and not for original/slim.

With developers using this new tech, will it get to a point where there will be Pro and Scorpio exclusives?

The thing with consoles is that they have something call “certs” that won’t let poorly optimized gamers reach the market.

considering most high end PCs cannot run 4K at 60 fps and a mid-tier PC (that is likely better than this and the Scorpio) would struggle ot run 4K at 30 fps in some instances, yes, there will certainly be a performance hit if you choose to run a very high resolution. for PC gaming, 1440p is the sweet spot right now. I

While it’s not capable of delivering native 4k at the same settings, I’m almost sure it can push 1800p (which according to rumors sony wants to push quite proactively) without sacrifices (which is like running 900p instead of 1080p and still a UGE improvement). For 400$ I’d say it’s a very good platform.

Its not powerful enough. Its just going to upscale. Theres no way a bargain $400 box is going to push 4k gfx unless its ps3 graphical limits running at 4k. So unless you are going to compromise visual quality for 4k resolution they are mind fucking people. Its destiny and no mans sky all over again. And wtf calling it

Most likely we will see current games able to run at 2560 x 1440 and then using their unique upscaling called checkerboard rendering For the PS4 Pro.
To get games to run at native 4k would lead to significant compromises.

I highly doubt a lot of the more complex games are going to be running at native 4K on those specs, considering they struggle running at 1080p now, trying to render 400% more pixels on a relatively small specs bump is unrealistic. I would expect some upscaling to be involved.

As an old fart, this is just another example of how truly not giving a fuck works to our advantage. Co-worker’s a dick? Carefactor=0. Work is something I do for money, not an end in itself; at least at this point in my life and career. If people want to play the power game, I don’t care. I’m never going to be CEO

That’s pretty much sums all the Latinamerican governments. ALL.OF.THEM.

Just like the World Cup in 2014, they left the preparations for THE LAST YEAR only. It’s a trending in everything that happens over here. mostly in politics. They steal money from the population for 3 years, and in the last few months of the 4th year they do some half-assed rushed stuff so the population give them

Laters, everyone! This is my last article for the weekend. Been fun! Thank you for taking the time to read, sharing your stories with me, and for putting up with me all weekend long. You guys were great!

Confession 1: I bought the first Five Nights at Freddy’s to see what all the fuss was about—found myself vaguely reminded of going to Showbiz Pizza Place when I was a little one—and never touched it again.

Confession 2: I will -never- understand the popularity of streamers. I get that it can be fun to watch someone
