To paraphrase Bill Murray from Stripes:
Actually, a real light saber is possible within the realm of physics - a plasma stream, contained within a magnetic field would work. But unfortunately, the technology is behind our physics currently.
I love that they use the old opening credits, but they should have at least updated the agents' photos. Mulder and Scully aren't in their 30/20s anymore.
I think that, after 70 years in the modern era of UFOs, more and more people have concluded that there is no evidence of visitation. You can have loads of people relating all the same stories all you want (the only thing that drives Roswell still as there is zero physical evidence). That's not proof. As Dr. Tyson…
I love football (and the NFC game ended before 10PM), but I could do without all the postgame crap, which is why shows get cut (like Bob's Burgers every Sunday night). I don't need to watch people talk about what I just watched myself.
Yeah, LOL, I hope people didn't record the episode. Today, they'd be watching the first half wondering where Mulder and Scully are and why they were replaced with Terry Bradshaw and Jimmy Johnson.
People keep complaining about how the show undid the previous 9 years. But did they have a choice? The world has changed and certain events are looked at in different light now.
DS9 was the best Trek IMO. And it had the best character, Garek.
For me, as much as I love Kristen Schaal's Mable on Gravity Falls, I equally cannot stand Louise on Bob's Burgers. Yes, I know she's often the catalyst for the show's plots, but I want to punch the screen every time Louise starts acting like a mega-bitch. The best character - Gene. He has no filter whatsoever. He says…
I agree about the belching part (though overall, I love the hedonistic side of the character, as a whole). Unless there is some great "reveal" coming in the future on why he belches all the time, its annoying. Rick will have this hilarious line, and then the belch and it totally distracts from the funniness.
Based on human culture (because that's all we have to go on right now), even if history books didn't exist or were destroyed, stories and word of mouth are passed down for hundreds of years. Check out any native American culture. There are some things you can't just forget or not believe. It really stretches things to…
Yep, officially cancelled. I hate Adult Swim. First they screw Metalocalypse out of a finale, then they cancel Aqua Teen, even thought it was still making money and the guys wanted to still do it. Black Dynamite gone too. And Boondocks was done with no Aaron McGruder in the last season, now that's gone for good too.…
Not only was it a galaxy far, far away, it was also the galaxy of short term memories.
Actually, I find all of that Jedi mystery stuff amusing, like the people in this show's time period (and even by episode IV) thinking Jedi were a myth or something. How could Leia and, well, EVERYBODY ELSE ALIVE not know what a Jedi was, even before IV? I mean, the Clone War was only 20 freakin' years ago! Did…
Unfortunately, a lot of these A list shows on cable are doing this. Yeah, we'll all enjoy the next season of Rick and Morty - - in two fucking years.
On a side note, based on the season's previews, the episode(s) where Ahsoka finally realizes Vader is Anakin (and they even fight), will be some of the best.
I would also add that the Lt. (and the Empire as a whole) must be dumb as rocks to not see Leia was "in" with the rebels. Didn't the Lt. not notice that the stormtrooper who saved Leia from the rebels is the same one who just beat him down near the end?
Home Movies is still on. Its just called "Bob's Burgers" now.
The games are fine (I love football), few games run past 7:30. Its the post-game show nonsense that needs to stop. I don't need a bunch of talking heads to talk about what I just watched.
I love Kristin Schaal's characters for the most part (e.g., Gravity Falls' Mabel), but while Louise has some great moments throughout the series, I feel there are many times when she's just too unlikable and arrogant. She's becoming the Eric Cartman of the series - progressing from (funny) simple deviousness early in…
