I am a fan of leggings as well. I just pull them up as far as I need (usually OVER the belly button) and wear a flowy shirt on top. Tada!

"Mom jeans" are only a thing because after you have a baby you need some support for your lower abdominal area (in my case, because of the extra skin), and everything that has a nicer fit is a low-rise pair of jeans. It'd be nice if someone made a nice pair of high-waisted jeans. I gave up on jeans a long time ago.
