It’s being a tad ingenuous to say they did THIS last year. Yes, there was a battle royale fan game last year, but the mechanics were entirely different. Aside from stars as I remember, there were NO interactions between players and it was essentially just a pure race.

Some people like the updated visuals. Some don’t like All-Stars (especially SMB1 and SMB2 (JP)) since the physics are ever so slightly different.

Or outdoor surfaces? Will concrete and asphalt absolutely shred the tires?

I’m from the South and I have never seen these before! How!?

My kids would probably wreck the karts, so it’s probably not something I’ll be buying anyhow, but I do wonder how the kart tires would handle outdoor concrete and/or asphalt. We’ve got some hard surface floors in the house, but I’d be interested in seeing what we could set up on the driveway and sidewalks outside as

Right but if you told someone it was a single-player game and hid all the other player stuff from them, that’s what it would seem like.

Considering this is not tightly connected as there’s no direct interaction, it should be a much smoother experience, especially if Tetris 99 is any indication. It’s essentially a single-player game with random stuff thrown at you from the internet...it’s like Twitch integration in that regard.

It’s not unprecedented. They re-released the original All-Stars collection on Wii I believe as a limited run as well.

I tend to play like Han Solo...the scoundrel with the secret heart of gold. By no means an “evil” character, but I have no issue with doing gray things for the sake of the greater good.

The only Huts around here that seem to have survived is the ones that are delivery or pick-up only. The sit-down in the nearest town closed almost a decade ago and was tore down shortly thereafter...and never even got a delivery replacement.

Yeah, I watched beta players who’d figured that strat out well before the game even released to the general public, but even in the beta people were picking up on those sort of things and by the end of beta it was getting hard.

I’ve gotten close when stuck being trampled underfoot. Just sat there rolling as people climbed over me. It was like Black Friday up in there.

If being lucky as hell and getting all the right doors is cheating, I'm a cheater. It was a fabulous feeling to just stroll through to first place.

Huh...I hadn’t even noticed.

Glad I’m playing on PS4. Haven’t seen anything like this, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does still happen somehow, though likely much less frequently.

Right, I didn’t say “OOOOOOH, IT’S COMING TO SWITCH Y’ALL!”. I just pointed out that they are “at least experimenting” with it.

There’s also Nintendo Switch SDK files on Steam version of Fall Guys as well. It’s possibly just a mistake they are included, but even if a mistake, it would be an odd mistake if they were not at least experimenting with getting it on Switch.

And the court cases (i.e. corporate lawsuits) are actually the least of the potential outcome of this whole fiasco. The real impact will potentially come from the anti-trust investigations and government level scrutiny they (and Google and Amazon among others) are already gathering. It’s not entirely a case of the

I’m not saying anything definitely one way or another. That’s for courts to ultimately decide, but even in cases of regional monopolies there are anti-trust and pro-consumer/competitor regulations that are (or at least should be) realized.

Except there is precedent for that sort of outlook. Things like water, electricity, and ISPs are all common, regional monopolies as there is little to no competition in a given area.
