I could be wrong, but I suspect the original overworld will be a launching pad (not unlike the original ALttP) and either there will be a greatly expanded overworld or that the Golden Land will be completely different since Ganon is no longer the ruler there and the world takes on different appearances.

The chibi look is probably to make it feel right in the top-down gameplay. Yeah, I agree on its own, the Link model isn't great, but in the game and in context I think it looks fine.

No, these games are great with adults who don't really game or just people who like to do little things like decorate and chill. I enjoyed them a lot more when I was younger and I might dabble with this one, but I'm going to get it to try and get my wife to play some more games.

I am looking forward to this game. I think I could get my wife to play this...freeing me up to play console games!

I'm thinking Nintendo's figured out that these Nintendo Directs are better for them than the E3's and GDC's of the world now. Yeah, E3 is still the place to make big console unveilings, but I think they might minimize their announcements at convention presentations for a while.

Actually, near the beginning of the show they described briefly what happened during the Arkfall, but it would be easy to miss. In terms of people wanting to "re-terraform" the Earth to what it once was, that was revealed both in the game and the show later on, but again, was subtle and if you were not engrossed in

Well, it WAS terraformed by accident. The aliens were going to move here, but when they arrived they found out we humans had advanced while they were asleep on their flight over. The terraforming equipment on their ships were to originally make Earth more like their home worlds.

Yeah, they describe it as being the native planet of neither the Votan or Humans. It is for all intents and purposes, a completely different planet.

I think this is a good analogy actually.

There were actually three total, though the US didn't get the SNES release of the third. They were all three re-released on GBA though all going by the name Magical Quest (1-3).

Totally. They gripe about being beaten over the head by games, but they just don't pay attention. Generally that doesn't bother me unless I really enjoyed the game and could play it way better than them at a much younger age.

The Great Circus Mystery

Yeah, it's not like the always round ears are a new development. I do have to admit that sometimes the 3D animated stuff doesn't work nearly as smoothly as the old hand-drawn cartoons. All-in-all, this is a pretty poorly animated cutscene in my opinion anyhow...

I get the name, but I mean the character of Slade is completely different from Slade in the comics.

Right, but that's somewhat different as it is sort of an origin story for both Ollie and Slade there. I am guessing eventually he does take on the mantle of Deathstroke eventually in the show.

Deathstroke's real name is Slade Wilson. Not sure why they went with Slade in the Teen Titans show. The design is clearly Deathstroke, but the character is not.

I am the same. I even take my 3DS to my office job where (from experience) I know that nobody has a 3DS, much less brings it to work.

Yeah, I had loads of fun in the beta. Sadly, I haven't had the chance to play since release because my wife's on a gaming ban all of a sudden. I'll get like 5+ hours straight tomorrow, but that's it for a week...sucks...

Yeah, I hate that they are so humanoid, but then since it's linked to a show and they cannot blow their entire budget and time on crazy makeup or special effects, I let it slide.

No, it's just as massive as the PC. Everything is handled server side other than rendering so it's not that bad.
