And how many of those were also moral-warriors hell-bent on bringing back "family values" to America? Hypocrisy is always more news-worthy compared to regular, plain, old adultery. Do you remember the "Moral Majority," dude?

Exactly. Kinda takes the "terror" out of "terrorism," except for all the kids freaking out when Facebook goes down.

Because it has low self-esteem.

They screwed the light bulb when it was still illuminating underground basement indie rock shows.

I came across the song early during my ongoing 80s music phase, a year or two before it was everywhere.

I call myself an atheist not because I can prove God doesn't exist (proving the non-existence of something is impossible when it comes to non-mathematical concepts), but because calling myself an "agnostic" would mean that I find it equally likely that there is a god as there isn't one, and that just sounds silly. Is

" it all started when a student in the Plano Independent School District was told that he was not allowed to hand out candy canes with religious messages attached."

And the parody videos were SO GOOD. Though, Rick Perry did inspire some good ones, too, and some yet to be made.

How many hipsters does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Thank you for the clear explanation. In light of your last paragraph, I definitely see how this seems very contrary to the science backing of the FDA.

Technically true, but Plan B is a high dose of progestins, which are normally available in lower doses as a form of birth control, and those birth control pills are usually by prescription (if I remember correctly).

I'm with you. I thought it was decent, but I could see where someone else might consider it "try hard". He was playing the sentimental angle, but I think that was the point of the film, so you can't really mark it down for that.

I honestly don't think it's even that specific for issues of reproduction as we're dealing with hormone treatment of minors. For me, it's a complicated health issue that's not without risks and I don't expect minors to be able to make responsible decisions about drugs that are usually prescription.

I know I'm only a veterinary student, but I don't know if I trust the drug companies' guarantees of safety when it comes to these drugs. We're dealing with hormones with potential for side-effects and I would prefer that people confer with a professional before taking something. I just learned about the fatal

How about not making one at all? Cops and robbers is one thing, but the FBI thing seems a little too "adult," IMO.

But we need to have security theater. For one thing, it convinces people that flying is "safe," and it usually is. Also, if there wasn't some appearance of attempts at maintaining secure flights, then the public would be incredibly pissed when something bad happens again. Hardcore terrorists might do something

I actually would have laughed if a security person stood up and said that, because sometimes travelers are just as incompetent at following general directions as the TSA "bozos" that they all love to mock. And it's true, when people don't follow directions and procedures in a security checkpoint, everyone else behind

Good point. People are also mugged in rough areas by individuals holding fake guns as a threat. As long as someone believes you have something dangerous in your possession, you are a potential threat.

Thankfully, we don't live in Ayn Rand's dream world.

There have been a ton of internet commenters trying to make the case that the merger should be allowed because T-mobile is going down anyways, but I still don't like the idea of AT&T swallowing up their network and their customer base.
