I find it so interesting that we as a society really celebrate princess culture for little girls, but once those little princesses grow up and start actually having power, suddenly the word "princess" becomes pejorative. What a double standard.

Point: Part of being a celebrity is being asked the same dumb questions again and again.
Counterpoint: Part of being a reporter is not being a rote dipshit.
Part of having intelligence is not having to accept dumb questions again and again, and pointing that out to a lazy, sexist, journalist.
"not that I'd risk offending her by asking" — I'll just write it into my story, passive aggressively.
Haha it's almost like being a woman anywhere!
So?
True, but there are other ways no make money by not being ethical. You know, like paying to advertise someone's flaws for clicks.
But her bathing suit is just terrible.
Indeed. I was once out to lunch with my then-husband and his parents. Hubs and I got entrees that were not sandwiches. In laws got sandwiches. When the waiter came with bread for our table, he set it down between my husband and I. My MIL was incensed. She thought it was a terribly rude slight and the waiter was…
Well that's how it should be. Sorry, but I don't think a waiter's job is worth more than that of a CNA, fast food worker, cook, etc. I think hourly would just be more fair all around. Being a waiter sucks, but that doesn't mean they should cheat taxes. I totally would if I was a waiter, anyway, even though it's wrong.
"What if a person can afford the food, and only a little left over for the tip? Is he considered a greedy bastard for that?"
SunnyC would like you to know that probably the guy who stepped in your path and interrupted your walk and your conversation to comment on your body was probably your special new fated-to-be boyfriend, and you missed that opportunity due to your own bitchiness. Now you will never know the true love you could have had…
This escalated quickly.
I mean, if you want to talk about how it's stupid to let people know that you are dispassionate about a cause we are all supposed to support, then I agree. But I think it's inevitable. There are, quite simply, too many worthy causes in the world for everyone to care intensely about all of them.
You know, I just read this article in Fadar and my first thought was, "Oh boy, Jezebel is going to have something to say about this." Which is a shame because she said a lot of really interesting stuff in that piece that we could have used this space to discuss, but instead are wasting on the one click bait worthy…
So every woman who exists MUST be interested in feminism? She didn't say something stupid about it. She simply said she wasn't interested. Feminists honor a woman's right to make her own choices, no? So shouldn't LDR be allowed to choose not to be interested in feminism? And dumbing down her SpaceX interest by saying…
Politics 101: When your target demographic thinks you have nothing to offer them, your message isn't working. Feminists need to realize that these indifferent young women are not the problem. And neither is the media. And neither is the patriarchy. You're the problem. If feminism is no longer a word or a concept…
Feminism is really quite boring from a is there something new to talk about perspective. I have not heard a new thing from the equality front in 30 years or so, women are still not equal we need to change that. Of course unless you feel passionate about the subject, but if you need to be passionate to find something…
Or does it make TOO much sense?
