May I ask what prompted this comment? Literally no one here, including the pretty funny lady who hosts this podcast and wrote the post you’re commenting on, is suggesting that women aren’t funny.

I’m not sure if they even let an audience on the field anymore at the Oakland Coliseum after Metallica/GnR/Body Count in ‘92. During the (not unreasonable!) wait between Metallica and GnR, those of us on the field waged a most glorious sod war versus the lower deck. Not sure who won, but the field definitely lost.

The Sod That Failed

And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling kids!

Why is that bad exactly? I’m speaking of the backup cameras in particular. The rear visibility is so poor on newer vehicles I’m 100% for it.

Why though? You can turn traction control off on all cars. And a backup camera has saved me from running over a few garbage bags that were below my mirrors and enormous blindspots.

Counterpoint: if it’s raining hard enough to turn on your wipers, sure would be nice if I could also see you/your lights. I don’t think this is a stupid law at all. Lack of enforcement, perhaps, is stupid.

Requiring alcohol to be stored outside of the passenger compartment.

Easy: Front plate requirement. Ohio, requires it. Michigan (and damn near everyone else), not so much.

“Well, he popped that one u — holy shit it’s a homer...”

I really like the cars and coffee edition

I cannot unsee this... so I shall repay you in kind.

He claims to be “thrifty”, but would prefer to sell his car for probably a loss of several thousand dollars instead of buying $800 worth of tires.

This isn’t that uncommon. I’ve seen high-end luxury cars all the time with badly worn and unsafe tires. I’ve even told complete strangers “Hey, you may want to get some new tires on that” and they look at me baffled.

You’re wrong.

Well, um, two separate courts and everyone on this website thinks you’re wrong.

....You realize you posted this comment on a website dedicated to reporting the news to the exact type of people who would open such a garage, right?
