Last time I went to a RAW taping in Anaheim Enzo and Cass (who got the loudest pop that night) made a not so subtle Bert and Ernie gay joke towards Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and we booed them out of the building for a good 30 seconds. It’s weird, because for awhile it looked like Smackdown was going to be the more progressive show in terms of storylines and character building. Then it took a hard left turn down Vince McMahon Lane and here we are at “Canadian-Indian Guy makes fun of Japanese Guy for being Asian”.

How hard is it to write promos that don’t insult the audience’s intelligence or social consciousness? There’s a billion ways Mahal could have executed the “evil foreigner” gimmick that would be more effective, but instead you get the shit that has been his run as champ.
