They are specifically targeting minority-owned (often immigrant-owned) small business owners, and using the term “bodega,” pretending that it is not offensive to put these people out of business and then use the Spanish term to describe the vending machine they think can replace actual humans.

8 million New Yorkers certainly do. People in Philadelphia do. This idea is not only laughably dumb in its delusions of grandeur about a vending machine, but purposely targeting small business owners who are mostly minorities and often immigrants.
