I am not sure how often you’ve tried to use the touchscreen while driving, its actually quite a pain that I am not surprised companies don’t use it by default. The accuracy you need to “hit” an icon on the screen is not that easy to do it fast in a moving car, and the lack of tactile feedback is also hard to

From my trip there ages ago...

20" wheels on a hot hatch. That’s a lot of money for tires. For a hot hatch.

Also not a fan of all the fake mesh bits...

On their website it says 200km. Do they have to recharge multiple time a day?

1998 GT1 is only related to the 2 previous cars in name, if not a bit in the engine. 1996/1997 car were still somewhat based on the 993 shell and front chassis structure of the road car, with the Mezger 3.2liter watercooled flat 6. 98 car carried that engine but in a new chassis, with Porsche’s first ever carbon fibre

You missed that the late John Frankenheimer was a director for the original run of the BMW Film. Who among other things directed Ronin and Grand Prix. Both are pretty classic films that are pretty close to a lot of car people’s heart.

Uh, his “Holy Trinity” test last year with the LaFerrari was not official cars? Weren’t there actual Ferrari mechanics?

“So there’s a big overhaul coming and it’s called Project Pinnace”

So how do you pronounce “Pinnace”....

So much of this. It’s hilarious how much of the details are almost identical in its placement if not entirely in execution...

This car is awesome and all, but can VW please let us launch the normal MK7 GTI PP properly? Even with VCDS stability control disable the car does not allow for a proper launch as something constantly pulls power from a standstill.

Normal GTI PP does that too. I am pretty sure you don’t even get full requested torque in 2nd. The 3rd often feels its pulling harder.

I think the times now are pretty ridiculous in general. I remember in early 00s with 996 Turbo and GT3 running just under 8:00 as fast.

Whats also astonishing is its something close to 40sec faster than the MK7 GTI PP.

Its definitely optional tires that you can tick a box to have on the car.

PS Cup 2, as optioned on this, Megane RS, Leon Cupra 280...

No different to Type R’s record or the Megane previous to that. This market does not exist in anywhere really outside of EU. You can go and option a Renaultsport hot hatch with seat delete, bolt in cage, track suspension and PS Cup 2 tires since forever. VAG started doing that with the Leon Cupra 280(then Leon Cupra

Not sure why so many complain how this doesn’t make sense. Adding Z51 and MR to a Stingray brings the MSRP to $64k. At which point you are still missing the widebody and the basic aero kit of the GS/Z06, suspension and wheel/tire package, the larger brakes...etc

I’ve seen a lot of good body shop guys, and all of them can probably do what he does, doing a lot more complicated stuff too. He is famous because of the ridiculously wide fender look on Porsche and somehow caught on to the right scene and took off.

He is a glorified bodyshop guy. Just that his work involves(or more famous for, since RWB has non-Porsche t00) mostly old Porsche.

This essentially happened to me when I was in the process of buying my MK7 GTI. Put a deposit down months ago for a Performance Pack car before the pricing were released. Waiting about 5 months and when the car arrived at the dealer they gave me a call and said something was damaged on the car and told me to come and
