I changed it to my name, Rachel. Totally uncreative.

Have you also at one point claimed to be racially "colorblind"?
I shouldn't have clicked on this article. And the comments. Dear god, the comments...
Yes, what a drag. I fear for that poor little girl's future.
Lol
So you would have preferred Romney?
That is a question I hope future generations of women will never have to ask themselves.
Oh, boy. You've just overlooked it again. You aren't even applying your own logic or reasoning. You're not capable of it! And like I said before, great.
You are attempting to define and break down the precise meaning of the word "slut" to a woman, as if she didn't already know or give you a very detailed description of it. She probably has more first-hand experience dealing with that word—having it used in almost daily conversation by either friends, members of her…
Pointing out the obvious is another tactic of yours. Yes, Islam is centuries older than feminism. But you can't say the two examples aren't in the least bit analogous. Both are movements, commitments, and philosophies. So yes, you are generalizing much in the same sense that these fundamentalists generalize.
Women are a minority group that is underrepresented in policies and elected officials; many policies do not fall in line with the views of women as a group and the percent of elected women in office does not reflect the percent of women in the country.
As usual, you are conflating fringe groups with the majority and mainstream, sex-positive feminists (which you decidedly ignore). Your method of reasoning (almost always to silence/discredit feminism) is no different than Christian fundamentalists', who seek to classify all people of the Islamic faith as terrorists.
"Minority"—the word, in a sociological context, is not based on numbers, and minority groups are not necessarily numerical minorities.
I'm curious to know what your response is to Ladyology's most recent reply.
Very well said. Where is The_antitype's response?
You do know that Madonna didn't actually type that tweet...right?
I don't care much for her false sense of entitlement, classism and internalized misogyny in some of her lyrics; I realize that these are all very damning qualities. But to say she has no talent? I don't think so.
I don't think so...
