It’s not even that 3.5mm isn’t broken, it’s that this new method doesn’t provide any significant benefit over the analog option. I am all for new tech when it’s significantly better, but there is zero reason to change here aside from a manufactured fad that tech companies can exploit to make people buy more shit to

No way. 3.5mm is cheap and widely available. The best attributes of a low tech solution. Pry mine from my cold dead hands.

I think you missed the second half of that sentence...

Do you find that the bluetooth headsets hold up under sweat and water damage? The cost of a bluetooth headset and forgetting to charge it, or destroying it like I do the disposable 3.5's is what keeps me with the 3.5'sat the cost of $5 which I buy once every few years. Sometimes more if I forgot it at home and I’m out.

I’m no audiophile, but I don’t think USB is supposed to sound any better than 3.5mm. I can’t think of any advantages to the consumer, though there’s a clear advantage for the manufacturers who would get to save money by ditching a port (and could potentially also make the phone thinner because of it, but I’m not sure

There’s way too many disadvantages to this than there are advantages (which are what? just slightly better sounding audio?)

No, if the iPhone 7 comes without a 3.5mm jack I will switch to something else, I’ve been holding off on replacing my 5S until the 7 announcement but I’m not going to deal with adapters that cost $ and get lost often.

seriously, are you gonna set up a photography studio or electronics repair shop? no wonder a lot of college freshmen needs pre classes to make up their intellectual deficit from high school!

This may be my new favorite Lifehacker article.

None of these hakes worked for me. I now have holes in my cardboard box, a burnt tongue encased in plastic, and Sara has a restraining order against my robot.

whitson yes i am good for web site

If your sandwiches are falling apart, they just weren’t built correctly. You know, like a burrito with a bad fold or a weak tortilla.

Even for hamsters

I love sandwiches, but sandwiches fall apart too easily, so while they’re a wonderful concoction of flavor, from a design perspective they are flawed and unwieldy.

No no no what makes burritos perfect is the fact that all burritos are perfect, from the garbage at Taco Bell to the simple 3-4 ingredient burrito, they all have merit and they all have a place in the world (and in our stomachs)!

If you can’t eat a burrito in the car without making a mess I don’t want to be on a road trip with you.

I think it does in some cases, but really, it makes it much, much more niche. Like, I LOVE Timepage for myself, but I wouldn’t recommend it in our App Directory because it doesn’t have a huge universal appeal. Same with Clear, it works for me, but the lack of features means it’s hard to recommend it on a larger scale.

I deeply apologize for wasting your time
