I experience this a lot - my personal solution is to avoid eating large portions at one go for lunch, instead to eat smaller but more portions of food throughout the afternoon to avoid food coma.

Oh food snob. Just stop it, please.

Aw man wish I knew this 2 months ago when I was still living in a temperate climate. I had such bad static and nothing I did solved the problem.

Singaporean here and I wouldn't recommend Singapore as an alternative to Thailand and Bali - significantly more expensive and much more predictable and less exciting than some of the alternatives already suggested by Jamie. (But of course I'm a local so the grass is always greener outside)

I clicked on this article to see what kind of craziness was up and I was not disappointed.

Hello fellow Singapore resident. I liken WhatsApp to soccer - the sport that almost everyone else in the world gets, but is totally alien to the US.

It would be such a stupid move for Facebook to shut WhatsApp down, and besides it's too large a service with too many users for them to shut it down so easily. Whereas several of the services they had acquired and shut down before had a much smaller user base (if I remember correctly). WhatsApp, as a messaging

If I'm not wrong, the online version does not have full functionality as the Windows desktop version would have. I'm intrigued by the many functions OneNote has and would like to try using it but I'm on a MacBook, so short of switching to a Windows laptop, I don't plan on adopting it anytime soon.

I happen to be one of the "random a-holes", "weird a-hole creeps" and "hopeful creeps" you mention in your comment.

Proud to see my national airline in the headlining photo!

Well, I think an element of these videos are the comedy of it. So some fails do add to the humour.

Quite true. Nowadays, when traveling, I prefer to avoid the top 10 restaurants as ranked on TripAdvisor, since it usually attracts crazy crowds, especially in popular cities like Paris. Instead, I use Foursquare to get recommendations on where to eat.

Just override that and choose to open it. It shouldn't be a problem.

I am studying law in university and a professor set this as an assignment. We had to write an entire Wikipedia article on a particular topic in the law. It was a nightmare to write about an academic subject in a way that a layman could understand. Also, it was so time-consuming for us non-IT familiar people to learn

I do wish the title of this article was reworded better. Too many double negatives for my tired brain to untangle :(

Here in Singapore, it's the same. But in "real life", there are several practices that are widely accepted, but would be penalized if you were a learner, e.g. changing more than one lane at one go, and not fully stopping at a stop line (but merely slowing down). When I first got my licence there were some things I had

I know right. This thread is hilarious.

Exactly the same phone! I got it in 2003 I think. My favourite part of the phone? Snake. Hahaha.

It is free money if you were going to spend money anyway at Starbucks.

I use a 13-inch MacBook Pro at the moment, but have been looking greedily at 15-inch MBPs. The only thing that stops me from getting one is the weight. When Apple finds it in themselves to make a 15-inch MacBook Air, perhaps I'll change my mind. 13-inch is definitely great for portability, but 15-inch is great for
