Why are you even commenting on this article? It means you've read it, hence refuting your own point. Not sure why I even bother responding to this sarcastic/troll comment.

I used to do this, but on my Mac Mail client on my laptop. What annoyed me was it didn't sync anywhere else, so I was virtually tied to my laptop when it came to catching up on reading, hence my switch to Google Reader.
Wow the site is down at the moment.
I'm not a hardcore geek, but I'm a heavy user and I care DEEPLY about the closure of Google Reader. Mainly because it's in the cloud and I don't like consuming my content through social media which is something that has taken over content distribution.
Suddenly we Google Reader 'refugees' have become so in demand.
Haha nice.
VOTE: Feedly.
Agreed. Sometimes all the tools in the world aren't gonna help if you don't want to reach your goal of focusing.
For another Lifehacker article about the usefulness of Springpad you can refer to this: [http://lifehacker.com/5902988/use-springpad-as-your-new-personal-assistant-get-organized-save-money-and-have-fun-being-productive]
I kinda agree on the 'item types'. If Springpad has any leg up on Evernote it would be this. But one could argue that tags serve the purpose for differentiating types of notes.
Not sure why yours looks that way, my Snow Leopard looks like the one in the article.

Not sure if your comment is sarcastic or not. But that comment IS real.

Yeah same question - what's the difference between free and premium?
I've tried using it a few times but just never got the hang of it. Hope it becomes more user friendly in the future.
Same here! Picked it up after seeing this post and benefiting a lot from it, especially the tabbing feature. I also see the potential usefulness of the cut & paste feature.
Echoing what many others have already said - only very occasionally if there's an interesting doodle. Otherwise, Chrome omnibar.
Wow all the whiny and sarcastic comments on here.
