Young guys here always put things in ads like “new pistons installed” or “just had the motor rebuilt”, like that’s a selling point. It screams “run away” to me.
Came here to say this. I beleive they call them E-Tec.
Look at off-road quads. Most of them don’t have a clutch, but still require you to shift gears with a foot lever, 1-down 3 (or 4)- up, same as a street bike. Definitely not an automatic, but no clutch.
Have the maker brought to you so you can congratulate him/her on their artistry, then have them killed so another can’t be made.
My brother has a Jeep of Theseus. The only remaining items from the “82 CJ7 Jeep he bought are: the rear seat, the grill, and I think the hood. Everything else has been replaced. Is it still the same Jeep?

Mustang 00001 sold in Newfoundland, Canada. David, check out this story, which also references Gail. It seems that Gail was the first to purchase a Mustang, but it wasn’t the First Mustang.

I also added an LED light bar up front and a back-up cam (like 2 days ago). The jury is waiting to see how the cam works out, but I love that tailgate strut.

I bought a rental car (2010 Jeep Liberty), about 3 years old with 35,000 km on it. It still had factory warranty until the 5 year mark. Paid about 17k for it. I got another 4 years out of it before I traded it and got 7k on the trade. I thought that was pretty good.
A long time ago I had a Ford Ranger with a v6. I brought it in to Canadian Tire (ubiquitous Canadian automotive and hardware shop) to see why the engine light was on. They had a price list on the wall; electronic engine diagnosis - 4 cylinder $40, 6 cylinder $60, 8 cylinder $80. I tried to argue with the tech (counter…
A thumbnail sized piece of electrical tape over the light. That’s the correct fix.
The correct answer is Ranger.
Keep the top 3 on the list; get rid of everything else, and as a former Jalopnik writer says “wrench, every day”
