Y’know truth be told, even though I was not a massive fan, I will greatly miss it. It was new, quirky, fresh, and will probably go down in history as one of the most odd race cars longingly used in any racing period (2012-2016). Maybe we’ll see it in some historics one day!

“The Volkswagen brand is facing enormous challenges. With the upcoming expansion in electrification of our vehicle range we must focus all our efforts on important future technologies. We far exceeded our sporting goals in the WRC, now we are realigning Volkswagen Motorsport and moving the vehicle technology of the

For the road, yes.

Yea, I can agree with the GTE Pro———> 90's GT1, with the added downforce, slight bumping in power, and even the aer0 just is becoming GT1-esque.

That sounds so cool, yet so dangerous. 13/10 would still drive!!

Damnit, here’s a star!

Oh for sure the majority are!

At least in Cali where I am, its just alot more internal screaming than external to really drive the point home on how we’re basically having a psychotic break

You know what Butters, I think you’re onto something here...

Why not both?

One question I have to ask: Why does it have LMS? The old and new R8 GT3 race car had LMS, which stood for “Le Mans Series” I believe, but had no intention of racing there. Can someone shine some light on that naming scheme?

Anyone else getting a land-speed record/ ultimate minivan vibe off this?

Welp, looks like it is going to be a straight fight between Ford and Chevy till the end of the year. Amazingly different than the start of the year for the No.67 crew, huh? Nice to see a good fight in GTLM!

I concur with all of this

Happy to be of assistance!

You’d be correct on that one. A few years ago when Chase Elliot was in the Truck series, he had raced Austin Dillon, I think, to the checkered flag when Dillon was saving fuel. At the last corner, he dived in on the inside and spun him out. Back in the pack as well, Max Papis and Mike Skeen had battled each other but

My only thought is that since the car is pretty outclassed compared to all the other cars on track,as well as the lowest performing N/A car, they’d have to compensate with more aggressive driving. With the dive-bombs ,sideswipes and spin-outs at most track this season (Sebring, Long Beach, Lime Rock, and now VIR) is

I agree with Ed Brown on this one 100%!

Also some more photos I found on the interwebs:

Okay, may be an oddball, but...

Dom approves!
