This is punishing kids who have lack of access to technology. Many of whom may already have disproportionately lower grades because of lack of access to various resources/ academic support. Most kids have smart phones. I knew kids that wrote papers on their smart phones, but then would have to retype them at the library. Twitter doesn’t necessarily equal easy access to a computer.

Tons of kids don’t have access to computers and would be unable to submit their assignment or would have an added burden to submit assignments than their more privileged classmates. It’s just not appropriate for a public school teacher to expect students to submit their paper online if school is closed.
