College students have larger access to transportation. They can work. College students often have access to college libraries with late hours, sometimes 24 hour libraries. High school students may have no way to get to a library if a parent drive them. Kids that don’t have access to computers are well aware of these

I want to give the teacher the benefit of a doubt that she knows which students to make exceptions for, but the comments here are awful. The digital divide is one more thing that makes it harder for economically disadvantaged kids to receive equal education. It’s not just about doing the work, they have so many

iPads are not home internet.

This is punishing kids who have lack of access to technology. Many of whom may already have disproportionately lower grades because of lack of access to various resources/ academic support. I worked at a library that was always open for snow days. Some kids had to walk miles in the snow to get to the library to work

Most kids have smart phones. I knew kids that wrote papers on their smart phones, but then would have to retype them at the library. Twitter doesn’t necessarily equal easy access to a computer.

Tons of kids don’t have access to computers and would be unable to submit their assignment or would have an added burden to submit assignments than their more privileged classmates. It’s just not appropriate for a public school teacher to expect students to submit their paper online if school is closed.

I love in the full video when he mentions Hillary’s name she gives a little “Yes, Hillary!” thumbs up.

I honestly took this statement very sincerely. As if Carson is a child who is prepared at a moment’s notice to sit and enjoy storytime.

Isn’t this an old story? I swear I saw the same video at least a year ago. Or did it happen again?

It’s too bad they didn’t mature. The blue album will always sound like the summer I got my license.

I’ve always sung along as if it is a dramatization or ironic portrayal of the way adolescents handle jealousy. Then again ‘under my thumb’ is my favorite Stones song, so maybe I have a weird thing for songs written from the perspective of emotional abusers (as a past victim of it myself)?

I think it depends on the context of meeting someone. Is there a reason you’re in the same place? Waiting on something? Are you in a bar?

And to you! Maybe we should start our own club in the eterna-greys.

I do have prosecco on the nightstand but I can’t reach it

It really is in a surprising way! I know my current situation isn’t permanent and we’re probably rounding the corner, but it’s been years since I felt like my life didn’t revolve around work and boring adult stuff because I’ve been trying to keep up with living with a 3rd shift partner. Having internet humans to talk

Anyone who says they don’t feel like that is LYING!

I’ve recently realized that I have very few real life people to talk to anymore. My husband and I work opposite shifts and barely have time to talk. I work with people who are way more conservative than I am and I can’t talk to them about anything and they are the people I spend basically all my time with. I have

Adulthood is the worst!

Guys, holy cow the trolls on that Yale article are wearing me out.

Also, like... prices have always gone up over time. Wages have not gone up . Is Paul Ryan going to raise the minimum wage? Regulate the gap between CEO and worker pay? Make corporations pay their fair share in taxes to help fund social programs? No. So STFU, Ryan.
