I tried to watch Andor, honestly. It’s just not that interesting to me after 3.5 episodes, and feels like it could be any generic sci-fi show. It’s well-done for what it is, but doesn’t relate to what I think of as Star Wars. I respect that Star Wars has a lot of different stuff people can enjoy, but if this game has

Especially in that first film, there’s quality charisma between the leads.

Actually they go off the station on DS9 all the fucking time. After a few seasons of riding around in slightly bigger shuttle crafts they gave them their own ship to go out and do shit with.

I haven’t personally seen or read about any backlash either, and whatever there is, has likely being blown out of proportion in order to write an article and make a point.

I’ve only seen praise of this game and this is the first I’ve heard about the losers being losers. Almost feels like this post was written to get clicks (which it was) and not be anything of actual substance.

Huh, guess I haven’t been on the parts of the internet where this is happening. That’s great.

All snarking aside, this show is actually really good. I don’t understand why the CW is crossing over to airing it, but it’s a legit prestige TV series. First couple of episodes it is a bit wobbly, but by episode 3, it gets its footing and becomes something that is at least shooting for something special. Regardless

As someone says elsewhere in the comments, it would be interesting to see an adaptation of Reza Aslan’s The Zealot.

and people laughed at me for outputting my sound from built-in monitor speakers but guess who is laughing from his perfectly shaped skull now.

He made enough money to randomly buy his dad a Cadillac, after all.

Plus, there was that one episode where Elaine sees how much he makes (maybe that was related to the Cadillac), and, because of his income, is suddenly attracted to him again.

He was also the Bubble Boy’s and Keith Hernandez’s favorite comedian and he also did some local commercials. So there is some indication that he was at least modestly famous.

The Tonys but yeah, he’s fully ensconced in the entertainment industry, not a struggling comedian trying to break in.

Also, at one point he gets tickets for the Oscars because he wrote jokes for the show.

it doesn’t seem impossible for a working comedian that regularly works local spots, goes on tours, and books spots on TV to afford his lifestyle.

We saw him get ready for spots on nationally televised late night talk shows (mainly The Tonight Show). He travelled regularly to perform; even if we didn’t see him on the road, he would often be returning from a gig. He did private events and used big payouts to lavish gifts on his parents. Part of the show was that

I mean… it looks like a PS3 game.
