If you do try the robot books, consider starting with Caves of Steel. The robot books tend to be mysteries/puzzles, and Caves of Steel really leans into that by being an actual mystery novel

I always enjoy in the robot books that people are driving atomic powered cars around. I picture every fender bender ending in a mushroom cloud.
