The spear shield combo is actually what got me to finally play the game for more than an hour. It was great for getting me through that initial difficulty adjustment before it petered out in effectiveness later in the game. Without it, I’d probably have never gotten into the series

Two was the best in the franchise IMO. The wacky stuff plays better because the rest of the game is more grounded. There are great little touches throughout the game, especially the scene in the arcade where the boss just starts nonchalantly chucking skee balls overhanded while having a conversation

Fable 2 is almost certainly the best game on balance in the series despite being undone in the final act.
