There certainly are great reasons for that - employee misclassification, wage theft, harassment, and culture starts at the top. I’ll add one more anecdote to these - the hiring manager saying “I love you” to the coworker who yanks your papers from your hands as you sit at your desk. Then there are HR “professionals”…
Never heard a hiring manager and especially HR to be interested in honesty and integrity.

Available cash has nothing to do with steady cash flow. A paid for car won’t be repossessed. A new car requires interest payments. Interest payments are not an investment, they’re a guaranteed loss. Repair and maintenance are investments in the asset.

My YJ was awesome to drive- after replacing stock shocks. I drove 10 hours in one 11 hour interstate trip and did not feel tired. The front seats were great. Can’t stop kicking myself for selling it. Bought new. Reached nearly 200,000 miles.

Mechanics do not hear what shop managers tell your customers therefore customers’ expectations <> mechanics’ abilities.
Related non JL service story: I accompanied my girlfriend to a Cadillac dealer to inquire about the 100,000 mile service listed on a price board at $199. The shop manager informs it includes spark plug replacement - only - with standard AC Delco plugs. Those were $1 each retail then. I inquired about the price…
I qualify and apply for government jobs. I have not received one yet. I’d like to think the government’s interviewers recognize my integrity as above their look-the-other-way limit.
