In my experience (thankfully I’ve been lucky), those that are honestly curious about the subject don’t constantly move goalposts, focus on whataboutisms, and redirect to avoid direct discussion. These people listen instead of trying to hammer home the point of their own ignorance.

They’re not genuine in the desire for discourse. They’re just being contrarian and moving the goalposts at each turn to keep people engaged in their trolling behavior. Disengage they’re not worth it.
