I saw Alton Brown speak of this on his show in the food network. I have done this in the past when I was living out of a hotel room. No microwave, but I had a mini coffee pot. Cheap easy breakfast as long as I had those packets of oats.
This is why I love my top-down/bottom-up blackout blinds we got for our bedroom. We leave the top down about a foot during the week, and on weekends before we go to bed we raise them up for the sleep cave.

This works fine and dandy to add things to the main calendar. But the drop down to choose which calendar is empty. That is until I save it once, then reopen it, then I can move it to a different calendar.
I bought a decommissioned Dual Xeon IBM server with 8GB ram and 6 15k rpm SCSI drives for $150 from a university and put VMWare ESXi on it, and despite their tools being windows only, its just the bee's knees.

mythmote works pretty good as a MythTV remote, but there were much better options on my iOS device. Like being able to browse your TV and Movie libraries from the remote and selecting one to play. Choosing to start live tv on a specific channel.
