Hey, I saw that they were casting SWS and said “Huh...I might need to check in on this show in the fall.”

I don’t understand why the dude didn’t have a bigger career. He should’ve been Chris Pratt, 15 years ago.

I think the part of the video that I find so compelling is that I’m fully aware that horrible stuff is going on in the background but even when I’m trying to I can’t focus on it.  I just keep getting pulled into the dancing and the “fun” and all that stuff.

My favorite internet reaction so far has been the meme of Kanye in a MAGA hat up top with Gambino from This Is America on bottom that says “When one door closes, another opens”

Neat-o! I watched the video yesterday and was like, “Huh, a bunch of crazy-ass images strung together. Big whoop.” I don’t mind being wrong when it’s like this, though!

Now, that’s how you Bear Down for a Medical Emergency.

I’m willing to bet he and Nora will in Season 4.

It’s amazing how awful he was on Arrow, but how incredibly delightful he is on Legends. Neal McDonough is killing it and clearly having a blast while doing so. He’s so much fun, I find myself wishing he’d join the Waverider.

Ronan was at least colorful and grandiose and performed with a human face under all that makeup. DCEU has a “growly grey giant” problem where  Steppenwolf, Doomsday, and Ares are just messy looking CGI boss puppets.

I took the plunge and have no regrets

I said medium (as in comics), not genre. Literally the best Astro City story is about a man who loses his wife in a retcon. Retcons don’t happen in TV superheroics. Reboots, sure, but not with the incessant pace of comic books.

You can get a taste by reading Astro City #47-48, the story of G-Dog. You may still be able to find them on the shelves. They are pretty recent. You will cry by the end.

I mean, we really need a show to actually play straight the existence of superhumans. Most shows its “today, except there are weird crimes we get to see stopped” but in Astro city superheroics are integrated into the way things are

I understand the conundrum, but it’s just too good to ignore. You gotta’ add it to the list.

I’ve already got too much to read!

Did you read any of The Tarnished Angel arc? I will always present it as one of the best noir stories I’ve ever read, as well as one of the better superhero ones.

If you haven’t, it stars a never-quite-made-it superstrong villain from the ‘70s who decided to peacefully do his time, and is just released after 20 years

Yay! I love Astro City with all of my heart — it is every single superhero trope combined and put down lovingly to paper, but it’s about the characters and how the characters live in this world. And it’s so goddamn good.

Oh, that is SUCH an inadequate description of the series.

And with the move of superhero stories to other media, I think this particular observation is out of date and incomplete.

THIS IS UNREAL HELL FUCKIN YES
