Earnestness has no place at the VMAs.

@weetziebat: Very well said! If I had the power to promote comments, I'd definitely promote this.

@sfikus: Yes, that's one interpretation of that glance. But I don't think it's the only interpretation.

@la femme etranger: You should also check out Tom and Lorenzo's recaps at Project RunGay.

Tracie, what makes you think that Don was lying to Roger about the job offer? I did not come to that conclusion at all. Rather, it appeared to me that at some point (off screen) Roger DID offer Don the job. Don is ballsy, but at that time I don't think he knew Roger well enough to feel that he could tell such a huge

@jennajenna: Me too! I quite literally squeaked when I saw him on the screen.

@yellow_dog: I think it's a much better use of their time than that Models of the Runway show they had last season. Nothing against the models, but I definitely prefer seeing more of the judging and design/construction process.

Seth Green and a Wampa. My day is now complete.

@BlueMorpho: Sooooo glad those are available instantly now. We had to wait for each individual disc when we were going through the series this winter. Took FOREVER.

@BlueMorpho: Hope the router helps because it works great on my Wii, too. And goddamn is it ever addictive! What are you watching lately? This week my husband and I have been watching nothing but that special sub-genre of police shows in which a wacky sidekick/expert always solves the crime. So far that has included

@shanaynay: Oh gawd, I am SO with you on that weather saying! Drives me nuts!

@lunacydress: The *only* reason why I can find this the least bit amusing is because it's fake. If it were real, I'd be seriously pissed off at the graphic designer.

@SwirlGirl: I agree. I think both Jezebel and The Daily Show need to learn how criticism can be beneficial - not just doling it out, but RECEIVING it.

@shanaynay: Well, I said "buckle of the Bible Belt" because it's somewhat vague and I'd rather not identify exactly where I grew up. But it is definitely in your vicinity.

@Heart O'Darkness: This is definitely a Mummified Cat kind of day - horrifying, yet mesmerizing.

@Heart O'Darkness: I wish they did COTD on the weekend, because this would earn my vote. So vivid. So true.

@gypsypirate: My husband likes this series! We initially checked it out because my teen-aged cousin likes it (we're close) but now I'm pretty sure that he likes it a lot more than she does. Note that she is 16, but he is 41.

I'm surprised that Time published this. Even if you manage to put aside the xenophobia and racism (and that's a BIG "if"), it's still a very very poorly written article. I certainly wouldn't consider it a "humor column" because nothing about it feels funny. How did this get approved by the Powers That Be at Time? Is
