@paperispatient: Agreed. The songs were seriously lackluster. After all the publicity this show has gotten and the impact it has made on itunes, you'd figure they'd have their pick of songs to feature. Surely they could have done better than what we got.

@Lynx: I felt the same way, but I'm sure we'll see her again. There will be other opportunities for her to sing. No way they're going to waste her talent!

@wtfox?!: I always think along these lines when I see ugly clothing, too. Somebody came up with that idea! And they liked it so much that they passed it on to a supervisor who approved it! And there were meetings in which they discussed which fabric should be used to make it. And on and on and on. Yet, at no time did

@snacktastic: Absolutely fantastic point. I truly think they're attempting to make comments about class, but are terrified of bringing up the C word lest people get offended. The truth is that SJP has been working as an actress in NYC since she was very young (she played Annie on Broadway, afterall). Moving from one

@ronniedobbs: I was married in 2005 and this winter I went to a bridal show with a friend. In my experience, the economy has not had an impact on the shows. If anything, it was more extravagant than 5 years ago! I definitely felt it was more overwhelming for the brides, too. We discovered that some of the venues that

@Erda: I tend to be Team Cake, but if French Silk pie had made it to the final 4, it definitely would have gotten my vote over German Chocolate & Red Velvet cake.

    Cheesecake is NOT pie!!!!!!

I've done all of these & even though I'm an old married lady now, I still like to do things like this on my own from time to time. Love it.

@Le Coucher d'Yvette: Well I, for one, was reminded to perform a self exam as a result of this silly meme. So I think it wasn't a waste.

@Atomic Bowling: Exactly. I honestly wish there wasn't so much negativity flowing around about this. However, even the negative attention has certainly helped provide an important reminder to *some* people, so I'm hesitant to criticize it too much. I must admit that I find it amusing that all of these backlash posts &

@inkaprincess: Amen! For what it's worth, this silly little meme was enough to remind me to perform a self exam last night ... something I haven't remembered to do in months. Certainly I'm not the only one. Isn't that a GOOD thing?

@eloiseonahill: I think they made a mistake when referring to "awareness". I saw it more as a reminder - a subtle but important difference. I tend to be pretty crap about remembering to give myself a self-exam every month, but this silly little meme reminded me to do one last night.

The thing I hate most about this backlash is the people whining that posting your bra color as your status doesn't cure breast cancer. Well, bitching about the meme doesn't cure breast cancer either, so why don't you get off your high horse?

@GoldenRatioφ (aka -girl11): I don't think you read my post carefully. Before this boy was a foster child with my family, he HAD been adopted. His parents lost legal custody of him when he was very young. This other family adopted him when he was about 6 years old. A year or two after his adoption, his adoptive

I'm a bit confused by this story. I am from Oklahoma and my parents took in a few foster children when I was a kid ('80s). One of the foster kids was a boy who had been adopted at the age of 6, but the family gave him back to the state after a year or two. I don't know what the grounds were, but I can tell you that

@amowls: Why on earth wouldn't your male friends see Whip It? I saw it with my husband (his idea) and he really liked it.

@missdona: Did you know that if your hand is bigger than your face, you've got cancer?

Who knew Sisqo was ahead of his time?
