“On the other hand, it is literally true that false rape allegations are a myth, in the sense that mythology is populated with them”

He managed to figure out quite a few things, just from looking at the world around him. For example, he figured out that objects accelerate as they fall. He did this by observing raindrops falling from the roofs of buildings. If drops were falling in a regular drip from a high roof, two drops, released one after

That’s Ptolemy. Not that you’d know from the article. But yeah, not Strato.

I agree it’s worthy of investigation, I’m just disagreeing with the idiot above apparently unacquainted with the importance of scepticism in science.

Mine too. Sugar’s a genius. That feel good vibe that used to be AT’s has transferred to SU.

It looks awesome. The art is beautiful.

The funny thing is that I would lambaste a unicorn sceptic.

Watch “Card Wars” and tell me if you still feel that way.

He doesn’t sound remotely like that.

Show’s not the same since Sugar left and Pen Ward stepped down.

“ In an added twist, the machine tries to match the emotion of the songs in its rendition”

I very much doubt he was trying to be right.

So... this wasn’t even a mistake. They just spelled the Japanese word pronounced “honky” using English characters.

Stop defending a fucking child murderer.

Like 90% of that is wrong. Subsets are not necessarily smaller. The first two sets you listed are the same size (namely Aleph 0). And the set of real numbers from 0 to 1 is an uncountable set and thus larger than the first two.

False. The function f(n) = 2n + 1 describes a one-to-one correspondence between whole numbers and odd numbers. There are therefore the same amount of them. (Google “cardinality”).

There are, but these two infinities are still the same size (aleph 0 in fact).

Or post a comment about how much of a waste of your time it is. That sounds super worthwhile!

Technically that logic’s flawed too, you can have an infinite subset of infinity which is the same size as the original, which would be the case with habited planets as a subset of planets — the two sets are the same size.

Though if you were actually travelling with a beam of light (or almost as fast), the journey would be over in an instant.
