Not really seeing the joke here.

I think one could argue that cooking is like pretty much every field of human endeavour which involves discovery and/or creation.

Yeah, or saved Sansa when the Boltons were distracted and she lit the beacon calling for help, or any time before or even during her rape fest really.

Rickon was only relevant because of the Manderly subplot. It looks like the show has excised the Northern Lords entirely, so it’s very suspect whether Davos will ever try to retrieve Rickon. Really Davos is in totally uncharted waters now for book readers, we have no idea what he’ll do.

Seems unlikely she’d realise that mid-swing.

Remind me how those Stark girls are doing.

But most of season five was weak story telling.

It’s hard to see any narrative reason for Stannis to continue to exist, nor any sensible explanation for why he wouldn’t die.

Will definitely watch, as the story is awesome, by the sounds of it. But am I the only one surprised by how... ugly it looks? The backdrops in particular, but also the character designs to some extent... just kinda... aesthetically unappealing, and poorly designed. Maybe the trailer and stills don’t do it justice?

So you were intentionally misunderstanding the term “source material”, okay.

Dumbass.

Yeah, the books were by and large pretty boring, but maybe around 40% of it was actually just as good as previous content... which is why I was really disappointed in this season. They had a chance to cut out the extraneous stuff and turn the last two books into the gripping story they could have been.

what goes up must come down

I don’t really agree at all, I think it was entirely possible to turn it into an engaging story, but they cut out the interesting stuff or messed it up. Story they could have included is:

You’re not agreeing with them, they were saying the actual story in the source material was great until the last two books which this season was based on. Not that the entire thing sucks.

I thought the criticism was that season 5 was dull compared to the set pieces of previous seasons

So you’re saying the show should focus on a simple fight between humanity and the armies of the dead?

Uh yeah, and they’ll patent an entirely new type of screw so the things are impossible to fix.

To be fair “Human Resources” sounds like a phrase out of an Orwell novel.

That’s generally how people use these comment threads... I was continuing your discussion.
