I drive the 2016 model and completely disagree. Once you figure out how to drive it, the transmission is quite good. The throttle requires finesse and cannot be slammed (it also helps to not get the 2.4). Don’t even try to slam the transmission you oaf.

As Jeremy Clarkson once said (and I’m paraphrasing) Europeans build things to the nearest millimeter and Americans build things to the nearest foot.
They aren’t sad cars by any means (except the Renegade, old Compass and Patriot. Those cars still sell well anyway). They aren’t too horrible in reliability either. If you haven’t noticed many cars from Japan are having mass recalls, Ford does as well.

If you don’t like it don’t buy it, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, and there are plenty of other hatchbacks. Plus the design has to be crazy to compete with new…
How? It’s still a small FWD hatch that comes with a small engine and a manual. It’s a very civil, practical, and can be fun wjen pushed. Which as far as I’m concerned is the same as always. A malibu is not what it originally was, a dart has drifted from the original, etc. The design is actually not too different from…
