Oh, interesting, I’d never heard that before - thanks for the reco. Now if only DePalma had someone to blame for that ridiculous helicopter-in-the-chunnel sequence...

Yeah, I know what you mean - it was an incredible feat that seemed absolutely essential to the story. I was thinking about how visually impressive MI:Fallout’s HALO jump was, but also that skydiving into an exotic nightclub is more James Bond absurdity than a real story beat.

Dead Reckoning *is* the new one :) Your number one is Fallout.

The sequence of Cruise dropping into that room is iconic. If there’s a weakness in the recent films, I think it’s only that they don’t have moments quite like that (climbing the Burj Dubai comes close, though.)

Same ranking. Maaaaybe I switch 1 and 3 if I’m feeling nostalgic. I think of the last three almost as a separate trilogy, as the McQuarrie entries all have a much stronger sense of what kind of films they are than the first three films.

Next time, baby!

And so that’ll make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Again? What was the last time?

CPR just had the bad luck of becoming the medias latest fad to write articles about.

Flash just doesn’t have the character recognition of a Batman, Superman or even Wonder Woman either, which won’t have helped.

This is made more complicated by the fact that James Gunn has never made a movie as successful as Aquaman and now wants to reboot a universe that may not even have him in it.

It consists of things you can’t get at a fast food drive thru, which makes me wonder how he thinks that’s relevant to this article.

It is absolutely absurd. For easy math, imagine a streamer that reliably pulls in $100,000 a year in subs every year. They’ve been keeping 70 grand of that for years, but now Twitch has unilaterally decided to take $20,000 of that out of their pocket. That’s roughly a 30% paycut, and it’s only happening because Jeff

Getting you out of the grays so everyone can enjoy the spiciness!

In the video, they said this display would be ‘4K HDR.’ I wonder if that means a legitimate 4000px screen per eye, which would be incredible, or if they’re fudging that because it’s a pair of 2k+ screens. That would make it equal to or lesser than the Vive Pro 2, and I can’t imagine Apple displays being bested by

Another disappointment was all demos and features were being mocked up and there was no actual footage.

- People that will use it for practical or commercial purposes: Are there many use cases where using this for AR/VR will improve, speed up, or make more efficient for practical or commercial tasks?

I’m not paying a 70-dollar fee to then buy a 20-dollar skin, thanks.”

Wait, does this mean you’re no longer rating butts?

Ironically, I was thinking about how there was some bitching at the time Arabian Nights dropped, over WotC using ‘real’ legends and lore for an expansion instead of wholly original contributions to MtG’s native mythos. Weird that 30 years later, it’s people complaining about their failure to ‘correctly’ emulate a
