Say you were a match, and that you’d be paid - how much would it cost for you to donate a kidney?

Don’t worry, I’m sure you at least have enough equity in your car to cover it, right? ...Right?

It’s a gamble, sure, but it’s one where you can figure out the odds - if your situation is stable enough, then you can weigh the likely of a financial emergency, and the cost of it, against the continued cost of interest.

I suppose that the big thing I had assumed, implicitly, is that credit could be used to pay rent and such - the payment system I pay through accepts credit card payments, and if it didn’t, cash advance options on the card exist.

The one detail I don’t quite understand is prioritizing an emergency fund over paying off credit card debt... Given that one could use their credit as an emergency fund IF the emergency occured, and that accruing interest on credit card debt WILL happen if not paid off... I don’t get why you’d save first and pay more…
