Compromise is not possible in the current environment of conservative fear and baiting of white people scared of becoming a minority in the future.

Oh, you mean making the identitarian racist right happy?

Eh, progressives talk a big game but, in the end, they vote for the middle-of-the-road liberal as opposed to the out-and-out conservative and would never stay home because they actually believe in their rights as a voter and making their voice heard, even for a neo-liberal compromiser.

You vastly overestimate Jezebel’s influence.

Super unpopular opinion: They were both okay shows but they are only great in the minds of adults who were exposed to the shows as kids and have a nostalgic idea of the shows as great that doesn’t live up to the reality that they were merely okay.

And while I’ll attempt to respect that a woman has been seriously injured in this next line of questioning: how does the denizens of Windsor reckon with the fact that a “common woman” was injured by the nobility’s passing caravan en route to a gathering of the most prestigious members of the British ruling class? I know it’s fun to act like the past was just a wasteland of white supremacy and downtrodden women and minorities. And, in many MANY ways, it was!

Yeah but, what has that got to do with you asking “what achievements?” about Buttegeig? Besides the federal stuff, they’re pretty equal in achievements. Not that I’m carrying water for Buttegieg, I just find you comment disingenuous.

Just things I’ve read in gossip blogs and comment for a number of years. Not so much a clear trail of racialism but light footsteps in the dirt of bigoted thought.

Oh! I still remember my song lyric comment from back then...

I also think he’s racist, frankly, too. Well before this morning’s story.

You JUST listed Julian Castro achievements in a comment to Spartan, and now you’re questioning Buttegieg’s?

He isn’t famous except among self-selecting edgelords.

We can get back to our usual infighting after we boot him.

It would be if the country truly thought the people who fought in those wars, no matter when they volunteered, were in some ways bad people.

Anybody with sense knows he won’t win this one.

He’s always given me the feeling that being President of the U.S. was just another thing to tick off on a personal achievement list.

It’s really just the “young” part, more than anything else.

Obama’s winning of Presidency led to not just people like Buttegeig and Booker in the U.S. but Macron in France.

He had that thing written ages ago and kept it in a file, I bet.
