And yet what you write about professional sporting lockerrooms isn’t true anywhere else BUT in U.S. sporting.

The average person goes into a lockerroom and would never expect or want cameras or people there just to look around. They would expect other people who are changing.

EXACTLY how I feel about this. It was demeaning tradition that started when athletes were considered little better than chattel animals, underpaid and abused. The Press considered more important than the athletes’ privacy, all under a b.s. idea that “Oh, we’re all guys, you haven’t got anything I haven’t”.

The thing that I find interesting and that no one, male or female, or even the author, has addressed is WHY it is considered right and proper to allow ANYONE access to the athlete’s lockerroom? Why this “tradition” has gone on so long?

Seriously, did you and your colleagues not consider that you were being put in an unfair position by your team organizations and the Press who demanded this access to you, during a moment any average person would consider one that demands privacy and safety?
