@filip.zajaczkowski: What a great program! I tried it, and my screen's gone all sunset colored as I type. I'm feeling less insomniac already! :D

@jeffk: yup, that's where I've been entering locations. I tried 91601, as well as New York, Los Angeles, and a few others. The thing that makes me think it's not working at all on my system is that it doesn't spend any time trundling. The status bar shows "done" without even a blink. Piffle. #health
google's flu shot finder isn't working for me. I change the location, hit go, and nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem? #health
@TheFu: Good point, but sometimes the official ubuntu repositories take months to catch up. Not so much for Firefox, but for OpenOffice ... really frustrating. I'd be willing to bet that was Sun's issue, not Ubuntu's, but it's still frustrating.
I've been playing with 32-bit Karmic 9.10 in virtualization since the alphas, and it's gorgeous. When I went to upgrade one of the many laptops in the house (Fujitsu Lifebook, nvidia graphics) with 64-bit Karmic I was one of the unlucky ones. Like another commenter said: black screen of death after some bootups, no…
Linux Ubuntu. I'm still on 9.04, but I'm running 9.10 in virtualbox.

Well, I don't hate email. Au contraire. Sure, I have to wait for an answer. But when someone else asks me something, I can answer when convenient for me. That's worth a lot. To me.
@Obsidian: That's the most thorough answer I've seen. Thanks!
@gemini8200: Amazing, how irritating that shouting font got after one mere day. At first I thought it wouldn't matter. Then, after about the fifteenth time of it yelling at me . . .
@pale_blue_eyes: And they stink to high heaven. When I'm downwind, I can tell when people in the next block are using the horrible things.
@mherlihy: Seconded!
@AmphetamineCrown: vacuum sealing. Absolutely. But number 2 is do NOT have a frost-free, like me.
@KStrike155: Yeah. Seriously. Don't overdo it. I've met people with elevator pitches. I'm always glad when I reach my floor and can get the hell away from them.
People talking to cell phones are annoying for the same reason that people talking to their gods are offputting. The only difference is the latter get institutionalized for being crazy.
@PamelaFlying fox: The same thing happened to me, years ago, in the early days of GPS. But because it was early, when I said "That's wrong, it's that way," we didn't spend an hour going the wrong way.

Firefox 3.5b4. With Adblock and Noscript. If you want a seriously faster web experience, block the singing, dancing, blinking, bleeping ads. Nothing else even comes close.
