It's ok. In exchange you got a smartphone and tablet. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

That's one of the cooler war pictures I've seen.

Yea, I was a little turned off by the file format. But really, I was mostly turned off by the actual device. The keyboard is a ridiculous waste of space. I'd have been ok with their format if the "kindle ecosystem" had been put onto other e-reader devices, such as the Sony Readers.

The ISS is hardly in the picture.

Because they aren't Kindle.

I wish the power dock or whatever they're calling it was optional. I don't want an optical drive or dedicated graphics card; I want $400 off the price.

Holy resolution! I hope this rumor comes true.

Great. This is just great. Now some all-male organization of people calling themselves "Eternals" will be created outside of time, and use their technology to alter events in human history for the security of human kind. Sound good? Sure does, except that we'll be made so secure that our specie's will to grow and

Haha, thanks for the laugh. =)

Agreed. I was surprised to see an article at least as long as the average giz article. =)

Yea, old people are fine too, unless they have some kind of special knowledge or expertise. I actually wish we as a society encouraged old people to end their lives when they reached the "sit pointlessly in a chair (or lay in bed) day after day waiting for death" stage. But since death=bad, we keep them alive and

Me too. I expected a better pic.

Actually, I've given this opinion a good amount of thought. That such an opinion is unconventional is obvious, but whatever.

I don't have any real problem with their use of "they", however. And avoiding pronouns increase the complexity of their task too much to make up for being "grammatically correct".

True. This is simply a statement of logic.

If you were to kill a person, killing a baby is about the most practical murder you could commit. A baby doesn't have as many resources, time, and energy invested into it as an older child or, especially, an adult. It also doesn't have the many social ties that make its death as upsetting to others, except its

I think instead of "they" (which I assume Google+ shows in message such as "They commented on your post."), something that avoids pronouns, like "This person", would be better (at least in English). ...Until animals, robots, extra-terrestrials, and companies (grr) start using Google+.

Yet, paradoxically, having well-defined standardized rules helps us communicate.

Your ability to make snap judgments and then defend them religiously to the death is somewhat underdeveloped for an internet person.
