@superfluousK: Technically I'm on a 12 month promotion, so I call in every year and get them to extend the promotion. I called to see if I could increase my internet speed and drop cable, thinking it was a fair trade-off, but nope, they really want you to have cable TV.

I pay $57 a month for 10Mbps internet and digital cable (including ESPN, Discovery, HGTV, etc). I've been considering dropping cable for streaming services, but Charter will end-up charging me about the same per month for just internet. They want that Ad revenue and want to sell you On-Demand stuff so desperately that
