@jayp01: I tried that and I get "Compile Error: Sub or Function not defined" and it highlights the "GetDefaultFolder" line.
@Twodeadpoets: I had this same issue, if you are connected to exchange server that might be why, because you aren't using "Personal Folders" you have an exchange mailbox. That's just my theory at this point, I'm trying to figure out how to change the code to test it.
@shamalama: I think that would be being a stickler. Informative nonetheless.
@Andy Page: I'm testing it right now, it doesn't do what I thought it would. I thought it would allow you to have a validation field on a form that a user would have to enter correctly in order for the form to submit. Basically it just hides the submission or shows a warning if the field doesn't match. :(

You can always use AIM from within Gmail to send and receive SMS, virtually the same thing, you just need an AIM account.
It has been over two weeks now, is there any word on this feature being reintroduced?
